Rowan weather: Hold on to your hats

It’s much warmer at this hour than it has been all week, but those winds are something else. Although the 7:30 a.m. temperature is 40, the wind is making it feel like 32 degrees.

Today will be sunny, and we’ll get up to 46 degrees. The northwest wind will continue to blow at 8-15 mph, with gusts up to 31 mph. The wind calms after midnight, and we drop down to a very cold 21.

Saturday should be sunny, too, with a high near 46 and a low around 31.

The mention of snow for Sunday into Monday is gone. Now it’s rain, a 40 percent chance during the afternoon Sunday, with cloudy skies and a high near 48. Nighttime brings an 80 percent chance of rain, with a low of 39.

Only a 30 percent chance of rain for Monday, mainly before 9 a.m. It will be partly sunny and near 46, but the night will be a another cold one, with a low of 21.

Tuesday will be colder, with a high near 42 under mostly sunny skies, and a low near 28.

Another 30 percent chance of rain is mentioned Wednesday, with a high of 46. Then the snow word comes back, with a 30 percent chance of rain and snow Wednesday night and a low around 30.

Expect partly sunny skies and a high near 44 for next Thursday.
