Saturday night inside the F&M Trolley Barn in downtown Salisbury there will be a whole lot of shuckin’ going on as Waterworks presents its annual fundraiser the 10th Anniversary Oyster Roast.

“We have reviewed all of our previous events and brought together the things that our supporters said they liked the most,” stated Traci Williams, Waterworks president of the board. “Of course the delicious oysters and shrimp steamed by Big Daddy’s of Lake Norman and Salisbury’s legendary pork barbecue by College BBQ. Toss in ice cream from Curt and Geri’s Dairy Bar and you have the perfect recipe for a great evening.”

One additional part of the event that has been brought back this year is the Treasure Chest Raffle. With all proceeds from the evening benefiting the Center’s educational and outreach programs, this raffle is an integral piece of the Waterworks fundraising puzzle. Raffle tickets will be sold separately the night of the Oyster Roast for 1/$10, 3/$20, or 20/$100. Gift baskets will include jewelry, rounds of golf, spa packages, lunch-a-week for a year and lots of other items.

Alongside the beer, wine and the signature drink from the bar, there will be a special take home commemorative glass for a $5 donation at the Bourbon Bar.

After dinner, the dance music supplied by Virtual Sounds will keep the party going. Spending an evening with friends while supporting the visual arts is a great time you don’t want to miss, full of delicious food, good friends, and lots of fun.

The $85 per person ticket price includes food and drink, and with three-quarters of the tickets already sold you might not want to wait until the night of the event to purchase a ticket.
