The city of Salisbury will have the following hours for the holidays:

* City offices, including the Salisbury Customer Service Center and all four recreation centers, will be closed Dec. 24 through Dec. 26 and Jan. 1.

* There will be no garbage and recycling collection on Christmas day. Collection will occur one day behind schedule through Dec. 27.

* There will be no limb and leaf collection Dec. 24 through Dec. 26 and on Jan. 1.

* The transit system will operate from 9:30 a.m. to 3:20 p.m. on Dec. 24 and Dec. 26. Service will not operate on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1

* Fibrant Technical Support will maintain regular hours. For assistance, customers may contact Fibrant Technical Support by calling 704-216-7567.

* Salisbury Rowan Utilities’ administrative offices will be closed Dec. 24 through Dec. 26 and Jan. 1. If you have a water/sewer emergency after hours or during the holiday, please call 704-638-5339.

* The Salisbury Community Park will be closed on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1 and will otherwise maintain regular hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Rowan County government will have the following hours during the holidays:

• All county offices will be closed for the holidays from Dec. 24 to Dec. 28.

• County offices will also be closed on Jan. 1, 2015.

• The Rowan County Landfill will only be closed on Dec. 25 and on Jan. 1.

• The Julian Road Recycling Center is closed Dec. 24 to Dec. 26. All other Recycling Centers are closed on Dec. 26 and will reopen on Dec. 27.

• The Julian Road recycling center will be closed Jan. 1.

• East Spencer town offices will be closed Dec. 24 through 26 as well as Jan. 1. Garbage will be collected Dec. 27 and Jan. 3.

• Granite Quarry town offices will be closed Dec. 24 and 25, as well as Jan. 1. Garbage collection will be on the Saturdays (Dec. 27 and Jan. 3) after Christmas and New Year’s Day.

• Landis town offices will be closed Dec. 24 through 26, as well as Jan. 1. Garbage pickup will not be affected.

• Cleveland town offices will be closed Dec. 24 through 26 as well as Jan. 1. Garbage pickup will not be affected.

• Faith town offices will be closed Dec. 24 through 26, as well as Jan. 1. Garbage pickup will not be affected.

• China Grove town office will be closed Dec. 24 through 26 and also Jan. 1 and 2. Thursday’s regular garbage pickup will run on Friday this week. Garbage will be picked up on Jan. 1

• Rockwell town offices will be closed Dec. 24 through Dec. 26. and Jan. 1. Garbage pickup will not affected.

Library

The Rowan Public Library will close at 7 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday. The Library will be closed beginning Wednesday and will reopen at 9 a.m. Dec. 29.
