GRANITE QUARRY — As F&M Bank employees came into the financial center early on Nov. 26 for a Thanksgiving breakfast, the entrance was lined with boxes and cans of foods.

“What a wonderful way to start the day,” Vickie Agner-Keene, a F&M employee said. “A visual reminder that all of us have so much to be thankful for.”

After the pre-Thanksgiving gathering, all of the items were delivered to the following food pantries: Salisbury Salvation Army, Rowan Helping Ministries, Main Street Mission and Cooperative Christian Ministries.

It has been F&M Bank’s goal for the past four years to help stock the shelves of multiple food pantries during the holidays.

“For well over 105 years,” Chief Executive Officer Steve Fisher said, “F&M Bank has been dedicated to improving the quality of life for the communities we serve. We are proud to serve Rowan and Cabarrus counties, and we are committed to helping our neighbors in need. It is simply the F&M way.”
