A Rockwell man reported to authorities he believed someone broke into an outbuilding and a tractor trailer truck and stole items from it.

Rowan County Sheriff’s officials said the incident occurred sometime between Nov. 24 and Nov. 29 in the 1200 block of Quantz Lane and the thieves spraypainted vulgar words on trailer. Some of the words were written in Spanish.

The man said the door to his outbuilding was wide open and items were moved around inside his Freightliner truck. A panel in the truck’s dashboard has been ripped off, a report said.
