Local Bridge by Myrnie McLaughlin

At this time of Thanksgiving I want to express my thanks to all of you faithful and wonderful bridge players. I don’t acknowledge you often enough.

Many of you have tried hard to build our Tuesday game by finding new partners to inflate our numbers.  Friday has seen many “private game “players show up and even return to play.

I’m proud to be your director and to call you all friends. Any time we have visitors from out of town I hear compliments about how friendly and relaxed the atmosphere is in our group. I would expect to hear this because you are happy and nice people.

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving with your friends and families and will have a wonderful Christmas season.

The Friday, Nov. 21 Evergreen game was once again well attended. Our winners were:

N/S: First, visitors Rachel Herman and Lib Marion; second, Fern Albracht and Pat Macon; third, Ruth Bowles and Marie Pugh.

E/W: First, John and Myrnie McLaughlin; second, BettyBonner Steele and Stella Shadroui; third, Chuck and Margaret Rimer. Over-all winners: First, Rachel Herman and Lib Marion; second, Fern Albracht and Pat Macon; third, John and Myrnie McLaughlin; fourth, BettyBonner Steele and Stella Shadroui; fifth, Chuck and Margaret Rimer.
