Kate B. Lingle, of  Granite Quarry, worked as a seamstress at Carolina Maid for many years.

She was born to Colombus and Maude Bostian on Nov. 28, 1914 and raised in Rowan County. She was married to Roy M. Lingle, now deceased.

She has a son, Hilton Lingle, a daughter-in-law Mary Ann, two granddaughters, one grandson and four great-grandchildren.

Kate is one of oldest members of Christiana Lutheran Church.  She loved working in her yard, gardening and crocheting and fishing at the beach.

She credits her long life to hard work and clean living.
