Rowan weather: Expect cold, wet, more cold

The temperature now is warmer than the high for tomorrow.

At 49 degrees, we have a 20 percent chance of rain this afternoon. Skies will be cloudy and out high will be just 53, a 20-degree drop from Wednesday. A north northwest wind will blow at 5-8 mph. The low tonight will be 33, with wind shifting to the North at 7-13 mph, with gusts up to 22 mph.

Although it will be mostly sunny Friday, the high will be just 44, with a north wind around 8 mph. Friday’s low will be well below freezing, at 23 degrees. Please bring your pets inside or provide them a warm shelter.

Saturday will be sunny and cold, with a high of 46, and another low in the 20s, at 29 degrees.

Sunday brings a 30 percent chance of rain, mainly in the late afternoon. It will be mostly cloudy, with a high of 49. Rain is likely Sunday night, a 60 percent chance. The low will be 39.

Monday is even drearier, with a 70 percent chance of rain and a high of 55. The rain chance drops to 40 percent Monday night, with a low around 29.

Sunny again Tuesday, but cold, with a high of 44 and a low around 22 degrees.

Wednesday doesn’t look much different, with another high of 44 degrees.
