Salisbury Police are investigating an early morning homicide following a 911 call saying someone was “being shot,” a press release said.
Police, fire and emergency personnel were called at 1:05 a.m. to 710 Victory Street, located in the West End.
When officers arrived they found a man lying on the living room floor. The man was identified as Aaron Phillip Vaughn, 37, and he had been shot to death, said Police Capt. Shelia Lingle.
No arrest has been made as of yet, but police continue to investigate.
Police have focused increased patrols in the West End community, which has been plagued with a number of crimes, including gun violence. This is the first murder in the West End community since the restructuring of the police department.
