Kannapolis woman faces crack cocaine charges after search

Salisbury police officers arrested a Kannapolis woman Friday after finding crack cocaine in the car she was in.
Jennifer Marie Torrence, 30, was charged with possession of crack cocaine with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver after.
According to police reports, Torrence was a passenger in a gold SUV in the parking lot of Belk, 1455 Klumac Rd. in Salisbury. The vehicle was reported as suspicious, and the Salisbury Police Department responded with a K-9 unit.
Police found a small bag of crack cocaine on Torrence. More crack cocaine was found under her seat when a K-9 hit on the vehicle.
A total of five rocks, weighing 2.4 grams, were found.
Torrence was issued a $10,000 bond.

• A woman reported a burglary in the 100 block of E. 11th St. in Salisbury Friday.
• A man reported a burglary in the 200 block of W. D Ave. in Salisbury between Friday and Saturday.
• A woman reported a larceny in the 100 block of Crawford St. in Salisbury between Wednesday and Saturday.
• A man reported a motor scooter was stolen in the 500 block of S. Main St. in China Grove Saturday.
• A man reported an assault in the 900 block of N. Church St. in Salisbury Sunday.
• A man reported a larceny in the 400 block of Ackert Ave. in Salisbury Saturday.
• Johnson Concrete reported a burglary Sunday in the 200 block of Klumac Rd.
• Michael Sevenson Hamilton was charged with misdemeanor larceny in the 300 block of S. Arlington St. in Salisbury Friday.
• John Edwin Chambers was charged with possession of a schedule II controlled substance in the 200 block of W. D Ave. in Salisbury Friday.
• Tedrick Rashad Evans was charged with a general misdemeanor child abuse in the 100 block of E. 15th St. in Salisbury Friday.
• Zuleika Irene Ramseur was charged with simple assault in the 1300 block of W. Bank St. in Salisbury.
• Michael James Mason was charged with simple assault in the 500 block of N. Long St. in Salisbury.

• A woman reported that fuel was stolen from her vehicle between Monday and Thursday in the 2500 block of Agner Rd. in Salisbury.
• A woman reported a larceny in the 300 block of Timber Creek Ln. in Salisbury Thursday.
• A man reported credit card fraud Thursday in the 6200 block of Grandeur Dr. in Salisbury.
• A man reported an aluminum ramp was stolen from his property in the 300 block of Troutman Rd. in Rockwell Thursday.
• A woman reported the larceny of scrap metal from her yard in the 400 block of Troutman Rd. in Rockwell Thursday.
• A woman reported an assault in the 1300 block of Circle Dr. in China Grove Thursday.
• David Michael Clarke was charged with simple assault in the 200 N. Main St. in Salisbury on Thursday.
• Jamil K. Dukes was charged with felony breaking and entering in the 200 block of N. Main St. in Salisbury Thursday.
• Patrick Michael Lester was charged with second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor in the 3100 block of Grandeur Drive in Salisbury on Thursday.
• Daniel Sean Wages was charged with resisting, delaying and obstructing a public officer in the 300 block of Happy Lake Rd. in Rockwell Thursday.
• Alonzo Ivery Gibson was charged with assault on a female in the 200 block of N. Main St. in Salisbury Thursday.
• Trisha Kathleen Bassett was charged with possession of schedule II drugs and forcefully opening a coin-currency operated machine in the 300-block of Happy Lake Rd. in Rockwell.
• Brandon Michael Lemmon was charged with obtaining property by false pretenses in the 200 block of Warren Dr. in Mount Ulla on Thursday.
• Savannah Brittany Cole was charged with larceny on Thursday.
