Kannapolis man finds bucket full of trouble

SALISBURY — Police caught Danny Lee Sutton with a bucket full of copper tubing, some wire cutters and a saw Thursday morning after following through on a reported vandalism in progress at a vacant house at 1315 W. Innes St.
Sutton, 32, of the 500 block of Hyde Street in Kannapolis, was charged with injuring a building and fences and taking possession of a house.
Police received a description of the vandalism suspect, then tracked Sutton down to 1424 Van Nuys St., where he was arrested.
Sutton was placed under $17,500 bond. He also was charged with a probation violation.
