Here’s what’s happening at the fair

Here is the Rowan County Fair events schedule. The fair opens Friday afternoon at 4 and runs through Saturday. Sept. 27. On the last day, fireworks start at 10 p.m. The fair is at the Rowan County Fairgrounds, 1560 Julian Road.
Gates open — 4 p.m.
Children’s Barnyard — 4 p.m.
Rides open — 5 p.m.
Special wristband for unlimited rides — $25
Michael “Hay You” Decker Balloon Art & Magic Show — 7 and 9 p.m.
Dairy goat dress up — 7 p.m.
Lawn mower pull — 8 p.m.
Gates open — 1 p.m.
Children’s Barnyard — 1 p.m.
Rides open — 1 p.m.
Special wristband for unlimited rides — $25
Dairy goat show — 1 p.m.

Mud Bogg — 6 p.m.
Money pit for kids under 12, $50 prize, Women of all ages, $100 prize. Throw sock with coins in mud pit, whoever finds it, keeps it.
