Warrants: Salisbury man charged with possessing child porn
The State Bureau of Investigation charged a Salisbury man with possessing porn depicting young girls.
Phillip Lee Vary, 25, of the 200 block of Dan Street, was charged with five counts of felony third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
Vary was arrested Tuesday afternoon and remains in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $50,000 secured bond. The Salisbury Police helped in the arrest, but the SBI’s computer crime division issued the arrest warrants.
The warrants say Vary had video images of 7-10 year old nude girls performing sex acts.
He is expected in court on Friday.
