Rowan weather: Change is coming

A mostly cloudy day will include a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 11 a.m. The high will be 87, with a light wind. Tonight still has a 40 percent chance of showers and storms, with fog developing after midnight. The low will be 69.
Friday is expected to be pretty much the same as today. We’ll have a 30 percent chance of showers and storms and partly sunny skies with a high near 89. The rain chance continues into Friday night, with a low of 69.
Any storms today or tomorrow have the potential to become severe, with damaging winds, hail and heavy rainfall. It is possible the rains may be heavy enough to trigger flash floods, especially in low-lying areas.
For the weekend, keep rain in mind. The chance on Saturday is 40 percent, with a high near 87 and mostly sunny skies. Saturday night’s chance of precipitation is the same, with a low around 69.
Sunday has the highest chance of showers and storms, especially after 11 a.m. It will be partly sunny with a high near 83. Sunday night will have 40 percent chance of rain, with a low around 64.
Monday will bring a big change — a 40 percent chance of showers, but mostly cloudy skies and a high near 77. Monday night’s low will be 63, with a 30 percent chance of rain.
Tuesday will be beautiful: partly sunny and a high near 79, with a low of 63. And Wednesday should be good, too, with partly sunny skies and a high near 81.
