East Spencer Police respond to fight at Weant Street Apartments

East Spencer Police were called late Wednesday night to Weant Street Apartments where officials said a crowd of people were gathered.
According to Interim Police Chief Baxter Michael, three people were issued citations for simple affray, two of whom were underage.
The incident occurred between 11 p.m. and midnight, he said.
There were no serious injuries, but Rowan County EMS did respond. At least one person refused medical care. No other details were immediately available.
