Rev. Claude Everette Gaultney and Ercie Marie Royal Gaultney celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary Aug. 15, 2014. They were married Aug. 15, 1949, at Laurel Springs in Sparta by the Rev. John Royal.
Both retired from Rowan Mills, Rev. Gaultney had been employed there for 18 years and Mrs. Gaultney for 12 years.
Their children are Jimmy Ray Gaultney of Lenoir; Ronnie Kay Gaultney of Salisbury; Tommy Lee Gaultney, deceased; Marie Claudette Miller of Salisbury; Gary Eugene Gaultney of Elkin; Betty Darlene Mabe of Salisbury; and Donnie Everette Gaultney, deceased.
They also have 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
