So, it’s nice to have a few clouds and some cooler days in the middle of July, isn’t it? You can almost hear the sigh of relief.
Mostly cloudy skies today will keep the high down to 83 degrees. We have only a 30 percent chance of showers tonight, mainly between 8 p.m. and 1 a.m., and a low of 64.
It’s a moderate air quality day for particle pollution, but green, or good, for the weekend. And the UV index is down to 7, still high enough that you need a hat and sunglasses.
Saturday will be cloudy, too, with a high of only 80 and a 30 percent chance of showers, mainly before 2 p.m. Saturday night, the chance of rain decreases to 20 percent.
Sunday will be warmer, around 84, with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 11 a.m. It will be mostly cloudy again. Sunday night, a 30 percent chance of showers and storms before 1 a.m., then a slight chance of showers with a low of 66.
Partly sunny skies will start the work week, with a 40 percent chance of showers and storms on Monday. The high will be 83 and the low will be 67, with a continuing chance of rain.
Tuesday is a lot like Monday, but warmer, with a high of 85 and a continued 40 percent chance of rain and storms. The low will be 68, with a 30 percent chance of rain.
And the pattern repeats on Wednesday, with a high near 87 and a 30 percent chance of rain. No rain in the forecast for Wednesday night, with a low around 69, but we’re back to 30 percent Thursday and it’s getting hotter — 89 under partly sunny skies.
