WINSTON-SALEM — On Thursday, July 17, N.C. Department of Transportation crews will begin a critical pavement repair on the middle lane of I-85 north between the Davidson County rest area and Lake Road Exit 102 just South of Thomasville.
NCDOT will close the two right lanes of I-85 North at the work site starting at 7:30 p.m. Thursday night and all lanes should reopen by 5 a.m. Friday morning.
Impact to traffic during this time will be high and motorists may use Business 85 as an alternate route.
NCDOT encourages motorists to pay attention, obey the posted speed limit, and allow extra time to reach their destinations safely.
