Kicking off the Faith Fourth of July activities on Saturday, June 28, will be the Shiloh Mission Run 5K and half mile fun run. The 5K is a double loop course through mostly residential areas, and walkers are encouraged to participate. The 5K starts at 8 a.m. and the fun run will follow at about 8:50 a.m.
Awards will be presented to the top three in 13 age groups for both males and females. The top three overall males and females will also get special awards. Fun run awards go to kids, 12 and under. Each participant will get a short sleeve shirt. Refreshments will follow both events. Special logo koozies go to the first 25 registered.
During the last 10 years, Shiloh mission teams have gone to places like Belize and Alaska, and this year will go to Pennsylvania and South Carolina. Funds raised from this event will help support Shiloh.
A printable race brochure is available at www.salisburyrowarnrunners.org . Online registration will continue at www.sportoften.com all week. Call Luann Fesperman at 704-202-0344 with any questions.
