Fitzsimon to speak to Senior Democrats

Chris Fitzsimon, founder and director of North Carolina Policy Watch, will be the speaker at the Rowan County Senior Democrats meeting Tuesday, June 17, at 1 p.m. in the Hurley Room of Rowan Public Library, 201 W. Fisher St., The title of his talk will be “The Disaster in Raleigh.” All are invited.
Fitzsimon heads the Policy Watch, which is a special project of the Justice Center, writes the daily Fitzsimon File, delivers a daily radio commentary broadcast statewide on WRAL-FM, hosts News and Views, a weekly radio news magazine, appears weekly on North Carolina Spin, a TV news talk show aired on stations across the state and has appeared on several national programs including the Rachel Madow Show.
Fitzsimon is a frequent speaker across North Carolina on government and politics and has been quoted in numerous national publications including the New York Times, the New Yorker, USA Today, The Christian Science Monitor and others.
