Rowan weather: Hot, then a chance of storms

So you don’t get too comfortable with sunny days and partly cloudy nights, a 20 percent chance of thunderstorms starts tonight and continues through Thursday.
The National Weather Service says some of these storms could produce cloud-to-ground lightning and damaging winds, but the storms will be isolated.
For today, it will be sunny and hot, with a high of 86. Winds will come from the west southwest, as high as 23 mph. Tonight will be mostly cloudy with a low around 62 and a chance of showers and storms.
Thursday’s storms should be in the afternoon. Otherwise, the day will be sunny and hot again, with a high of 88. Thursday night will be calm with a low around 61. Wind will shift to the northwest.
Temperatures go down slightly on Friday, with a high near 83 and a low around 52.
Saturday will be sunny and 79, then partly cloudy with a low of 53. Sunday will be mostly sunny and 83, with a low around 58.
For your Memorial Day, it’s going to be mostly sunny again, and quite warm, with a high near 86. Monday night, we’ll cool down to 61.
Then it’s back to work under mostly sunny skies Tuesday with a high near 87.
