More author visits here, in Kannapolis

Ken Caillat, the Grammy-winning producer of “Rumors” and other Fleetwood Mac albums, will sign copies of his memoir, “Making Rumours: The Inside Story of the Classic Fleetwood Mac Album,” immediately following the 7:30 p.m. performance by the Catawba College Vernaculars on Thursday, May 8 at Hedrick Little Theatre on the college campus.
The Friends of the Kannapolis Library will feature Dr. Tim W. Vanderburg, author of “Cannon Mills and Kannapolis: Persistent Paternalism in a Textile Town” at the Spring Author Luncheon. The event will be held on Tuesday, May , at The Club at Irish Creek in Kannapolis from 11:45 a.m.–1 p.m. Tickets are $20. For information, call the library at 704-920-1180.
As part of ALA’s Choose Privacy Week, the Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Office will present “Protecting Yourself from Identity Theft” where you will learn tips and tricks on how to protect your identity and what to do if you become a victim of identity fraud. Monday, 5:30 p.m., Kannapolis Library.
