Chamber to host trade show May 1

SALISBURY — The Rowan County Chamber of Commerce will hold the 17th Annual Trade Show from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 1 at the Event Center, 315 Webb Road.
Businesses are invited to exhibit at the trade show, which attracts more than 1,200 visitors. The show is open to the public with more than 70 exhibitors, free admission, free parking and door prizes.
Trade Show Committee Chairwoman Martha Bostian said committee members have new ideas to encourage more business people to attend.
“The show will feature free business seminars from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. that are good for entrepreneurs, new businesses or existing businesses,” she said. “We have selected seminar topics that can help small and large businesses.”
Seminars will be held at the Business Center directly in front of the Event Center. Seminar information is online at www.rowanchamber.com/pages/TradeShow/.
El Patron restaurant will serve free tacos from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. so people can stop by on their lunch hour. The trade show also will feature a business mascot dancing contest at 2 p.m. and door prize announcements from 3 to 4 p.m.
