Rowan weather: Did they say snow?

After a chilly start, today should be mostly sunny and cooler, with a high near 56.
Remember that four-letter word — s-n-o-w? Well, it’s showing up again. Tonight features a slight chance of rain or snow before 3 a.m., then a chance of snow and a low around 34. The chance for precipitation is only 30 percent, but up to half an inch of snow may accumulate.
Before 8 Wednesday morning, we may still see a little snow, but still only a 30 percent chance. It will be cloudy, then clear gradually with a high near 45. Wednesday’s low will plunge to 22 degrees.
Thursday, the sun should shine and the temperature should rise to near 50 with some wind. Clear Thursday night, but cold again, around 24.
Friday looks mostly sunny with a high near 47.
And, believe it or not, snow returns to the forecast Friday night with a 40 percent chance of rain and snow and a low around 31. Saturday is another 30 percent day, rain and snow, but the sun will peek out and temperatures will rise into the low 50s.
Sunday should be mostly sunny with a high of 51, then Sunday night and Monday bring another chance for rain.
Stay alert — this is North Carolina, where the weather changes every 10 minutes.
