Center for Environment’s event on saving money on energy is Feb. 7 at Catawba

“How to Keep Your New Year’s Resolution to Save on Energy Costs” will be the topic for the Center for the Environment’s second event in its Business Sustainability Series.
The breakfast for large businesses and governmental and educational organizations will be held from 7:30 to 8:45 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 7, in the Center for the Environment building on the Catawba College campus. The center is offering the event in partnership with the Rowan County Chamber of Commerce, RowanWORKS Economic Development and Rowan-Cabarrus Community College.
Featured panelists include Robert Williams of Schneider Electric’s Raleigh office, who will review Performance contracting; Maryanne McGowan of Duke Energy in Cincinnati, Ohio, who will speak on Duke Energy’s commercial “Smart $aver” program; and Christal Perkins of Waste Reduction Partners’ Durham office, who will highlight that organization’s free energy audits in the state of North Carolina.
An informal question-and-answer session will follow their remarks.
