Pot-smoking drivers something to fear
I read in the paper today that the president sees nothing wrong with smoking marijuana. Now that states can legalize it, how are they going to check if someone is driving under the influence? Now the roads are getting more unsafe.
Some 20 years ago, my sister and I were on our way to church, on Mothers Day. Unfortunately we did not make it. We were involved in an accident in which a young man was stoned from smoking marijuana. He drove straight through a stop sign, and my sister and I ended up in the hospital — seven days for me and 10 days for my sister. To this day I have scars and my sister has only two-thirds the use of her right eye.
So all I see here is more reasons to be careful when driving. Your life is in the hands of the driver of another car. This is only making it harder for the police to do their job and costing us taxpayers more money!

High-level idiocy?
Having had the honor of being a charter member of the Conservative Party of New York and the supervisor of then-Senator Goldwater’s Manhattan campaign office, I cannot fathom saying as Sinatra sang, “I’ve got the world on a string.” Why did Gov. Chris Christie allow himself to be embroiled in this childish payback scheme? If, and I repeat if, he is completely innocent of any connection to this idiocy, his staff, unless they are complete morons, had to know the Dems and their darling media would turn over every dirty rock 24 hours a day to implicate him — not to mention save Hillary from a disastrous defeat.
