Could You Have Prediabetes?

Prediabetes means your blood sugar is higher than average, but not high enough to be diagnosed with diabetes. There are no symptoms for prediabetes.
• North and South Carolinas are among the states with the highest rates of diabetes, at almost 10 percent.
• The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention projects that as many as 1 in 3 adults could have diabetes by 2050.
• Diabetes is a leading cause of blindness, kidney failure, stroke and heart attack.
• 79 million Americans have prediabetes.
