East Rowan’s wrestlers got inspired performances by youngsters Max Wall and Jack Werner and won 52-29 against Central Davidson.
Wall, Landon Carico, Wyatt Blume, Shiheem Saunders, Jake Boltz and Austin Hoosier had pins for the Mustangs.
Logan Haas and Sam Cornacchione won by forfeit.

The North Hills varsity boys baseketball squad lost to the Greater Cabarrus Homeschool Stallions 79-73.
Ian Bradshaw scored 23 points for the Eagles. Leonard Murdock had 15, Chris Taylor had 14, and Austin Patterson had 13.
Sacred Heart’s varsity boys won in overtime against Concordia Lutheran.
Jack Fisher led the Dolphins with 18 points and 13 rebounds. Will Taylor scored 15, including the game-deciding free throw in OT. Eric Turnbull scored seven points. Keegan Dillon made key three throws. Henry Holman led the defense. Michael Childress had eight assists.
Sacred Heart play Salisbury Academy at home on Wednesday, Dec. 4, at 5:15 p.m.
Catawba sophomore Sophie Waller was named to the NCCSIA All-State women’s soccer team as a second team midfielder.
Waller scored three goals and led Catawba with eight assists.
The Common Sense picks were 6-0 last week for a 123-23 record for the season.
