Lee Street Theatre has extended its submission deadline for the 6th annual 10-minute Play Festival to Feb. 1.
Guidelines for submissions are as follows:
• The play must be a comedy and incorporate into the overall theme of “Office Hours.”
• Play must be easy to stage on a small black box stage with limited sets and props.
• Play must be limited to no more than three characters.
• Two stapled copies of each script, in proper format, must arrive on or before the deadline to Lee Street Theatre, Attn: Office Hours, PO Box 201, Salisbury, NC 28145. No email entries accepted.
• Limit entry to three scripts.
• The script must not have been previously staged by anyone in any way.
• Enclose one cover sheet per playwright with contact information (include email address) and the title of the submitted script, along with a one-sentence synopsis. To ensure unbiased judging, the playwright’s name must not appear anywhere on the script, which will not be returned.
Winning playwrights will be notified in March.
