West Rowan Middle School hosted its first Girls and Staff Butterball 5K race Nov. 22. All girls competed against their grade level peers for top three runners. All girls who finished the race were eligible to win prizes from sponsors Apple Baking Co., Chick-Fil-A, Jersey Mikes, LKN Massage and Four Ace Embroidery.
Top finishers from each grade level are Shalea Vanhoose, 24:03; Hydeya Robbins, 24:04; Megan Brown, 26:02; Deja Phillipe, 26:39; Faith Moore, 26:40; Takiya Robbins, 26:41; Gaby Blabon, 26:07; Tori Hester, 26:08; and Skylar Jahnke, 27:20. The staff’s fastest turkey is Mike Shadroui, 26:48.
