Snow falling in western North Carolina

RALEIGH (AP) — It’s snowing in western North Carolina.
The National Weather Service reported snow falling in Asheville, Boone, Franklin and Jefferson early Wednesday morning.
The weather service said heavy snow was possible in parts of the mountains.
A winter storm warning was in effect in Avery, Graham, Haywood, Madison, Mitchell, Swain and Yancey counties until midnight Wednesday. Up to 6 inches of snow could fall in the mountains along the Tennessee-North Carolina state line.
A winter weather advisory was in effect until 6 p.m. Wednesday in other parts of the North Carolina mountains. Up to 2 inches of snow is possible in parts of Buncombe, Burke, Caldwell, Henderson, Jackson, Macon, McDowell and Transylvania counties,
