• Cub Scouts’ November core value is citizenship, so Cub Scout Pack 443, sponsored by St. John’s Luteran Church, showed good citizenship by participating in the Veteran’s Day Parade in Downtown Salisbury on Nov. 11 as a way to give thanks to the men and women who have served and sacrificed for this great country.
Cub Scouts also showed their pride in community by holding a Conservation Project Nov. 9, when they cleaned Ellis Park in Salisbury.
The holiday season will be wrapped up for the year with the Popcorn Drive and Christmas Party. There the boys participate by giving gifts for the Angel Tree.
And everyone looks forward to the classic Pinewood Derby in January and Blue and Gold Banquet in February, where Webelos II Cub Scouts bridge over to Pack 443 Boy Scouts.
It is no surprise that Pack 443 is the four-time winner of the Cub Cup in the Rowan District.
Elementary-age boys interested in camping, exploring and having an awesome time with other boys your age are encouraged to join Pack 443 Cub Scouts.
Regular weekly Monday night den meetings are at St. John’s Church and last an hour between 6:30-8 p.m., depending on the specific den.
