LOCKPORT, N.Y. (AP) — A 42-year-old North Carolina woman initially charged in the shooting death of a woman in Niagara Falls won’t be indicted on a murder charge.
According to the Buffalo News, Niagara County Judge Matthew Murphy said the grand jury chose to indict Cammesoa Williams on a charge of criminal possession of a weapon, not murder.
The Winston-Salem resident was arrested along with her boyfriend in the shooting death of Tijuana Davis, 39, at the victim’s apartment. The newspaper reports that Williams’ attorney Herbert L. Greenman successfully sought bail for his client.
