Rowan Helping Ministries and Queen’s Gifts are partnering this weekend to kick start a food drive.
Representatives from Rowan Helping Ministries will be at Queen’s from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday to greet customers and collect donations to fight hunger.
Queen’s will also be opening its Christmas Wonderland on Friday which transforms the second floor with Christmas trees and decor.
Last year, Queen’s did a gift drive for Rowan Helping Ministries. This holiday season, the focus was changed to food.
“We will be collecting non-perishables and funds to assist us with the increased demand of families in crisis,” Kimberly Collins, Rowan Helping Ministries’ director of resource development and community relations, said in an email.
Queen’s Gifts will have prizes for those who come out and donate to the cause.
