SALISBURY — Deputies said a thief stole a trailer this week filled with memorabilia from the Civil and Revolutionary wars valued at more than $12,000.
After a brief stint in the hospital, Dennis Egburtson, 66, told officers he arrived back at his home on Webb Road to find his enclosed trailer missing.
Egburtson described the trailer as a white, dual-axle trailer, which he takes to war re-enactments across the country.
Among the stolen items was a case of jewelry valued at $800 and assorted snacks that were sold at various venues.
Deputies said the trailer was entered into the national crime database.
Anyone with information on the theft is asked to contact the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office at 704-216-8500.
