Oneida Wyatt of Badin brought this photograph to the Post of students in grades 1-8 of the old Hamilton School on Bringle Ferry Road. She thinks the photograph dates to the late 1920s, judging by the age of Jay Wyatt, the young boy in the middle of the first row who later would become her husband. The school building in the background was located between Wyatts Grove Church Road and Richfield Road. Her late husband took time once to identify all the children in the photograph. They include in the first row, left to right: J.L. Burrage, Clifford Shephard, Baxter Lookabill, Raymond Beam, Alline Hoffner, Jay Wyatt, Robert Morgan, W.M. Morgan, Irene Morgan and Mary Jane Hoffner. Second row: David Foust, Paul Wyatt, Clinton Crook, Joe Ketchie (teacher), Conie Miller, Alice Canup, Elmer Brinkle, Jessie Hoffner, Ruby Foust and Vera Kluttz. Third row: Leo Burrage, James Shephard, Roy Frick, Fred Wyatt, Rita Beam, Bonnie Morgan, Virgie Shephard, Ethel Morgan, Virgie Morgan, Eula Morgan, Remalle Morgan and Sudie Kluttz.
