SALISBURY — A two-and-a-half hour closed session, including negotiations with the Rowan-Salisbury Schools’ legal counsel, ended with the board saying simply that negotiations with Rowan County will continue.
The only item on the agenda for the 5 p.m. called meeting was the closed session, held for the twofold purpose of conferring with the attorney and discussing a personnel matter.
All seven board members and Superintendent Lynn Moody were present.
After adopting the agenda, and opening with the Pledge of Allegiance and customary moment of silence, members immediately voted to go into closed session.
The meeting was reopened at 7:37 p.m. and, moments later, adjourned.
Board Chairman Richard Miller gave the only comment, saying that after conferring with counsel, it had been recommended “to continue the negotiations process” with Rowan County.
