In Salisbury, with OctoberTour, attention is focused on an element that is essential to the town’s character — the architecture.
Recognizing architecture as a fine art and in honor of OctoberTour, Rail Walk Studios & Gallery will host an invitational show with an architectural theme.
The show runs today through Nov. 2, with an opening reception from 6 to p.m. Friday.
Featured artists have focused on architectural details, which may include elements such as ornaments, columns and windows.
Exhibitors include the following:
Karen Alexander — Architect as well as founder and president of KKA Architecture;
Karen Frazer — Artist and Rail Walk Studio member;
Judy Kandl — Architectural designer and fiber artist;
Elizabeth McAdams — Photographer/artist and Rail Walk Studio member;
Linda McMurrer — Designer; and
Don Moore — artist and retired art program coordinator for Mitchell Community College.
The show and the reception are free and open to the public.
Rail Walk Studios & Gallery is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.
