RALEIGH (AP) — Someone in the Charlotte area may be missing out on a modest windfall from the N.C. Education Lottery.
Lottery officials say Carolina Cash 5 players in North Carolina, especially those around the state’s largest city, should check any tickets they have to see if they are the winner of an unclaimed $272,453 jackpot.
The winning ticket was purchased for the April 4 drawing and is scheduled to expire next Tuesday. The ticket was sold at the Shell Food Mart on Freedom Drive in Charlotte. It matched all five balls in the drawing.
The winning numbers are: 2, 9, 13, 28 and 34.
