The Humane Society of Rowan County recently met to finalize plans for its annual Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser. This year’s event will be a major change from previous years with the fundraiser being held Friday, Sept. 27, and lunch as well as dinner being served. VFW Post 3006, 1200 Brenner Ave., will again host the event with DJ Melanie Chilson providing entertainment at both meals. Ticket prices remain $6 for adults and $3 for children under 12 years.
Lunch will be served from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. and dinner from 5-8 p.m. Volunteers will deliver orders of five or more to local workplaces with no fee for delivery. Requests for delivered meals must be called to the HSRC by 9 a.m. on Friday.
