Third candlelight vigil for Erica Parsons set for Tuesday night
SALISBURY — The public is invited to attend the third candlelight vigil for missing teen Erica Parsons.
The vigil will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Salisbury City Park. Organizers Brian “Capa” Young and Crystal Pope are asking everyone to bring a small, white candle. They plan to create a heart shape with the candles and have people hold hands in prayer around the perimeter.
Reported missing on July 30, Erica Parsons was reportedly last seen in November 2011. She was 13 years old at the time.
Young, a Christian hip hop artist, has written and recorded a song he’s dedicated to Parsons. A Salisbury native who now lives in Lexington, Young released the song online in the hopes that it would shed more light on Erica’s story.
Pope is the local woman who co-organized a candlelight vigil last month outside the Parsonses’ Miller Chapel Road home.
