Basinger was able to turn around and eventually stop the suspect vehicle on N.C. 801, just before the Davie County line.
Brandi Michelle Fleming, 27, of Cooleemee, was found to be the driver of the vehicle, and further investigation by Basinger led to her being arrested for the Sept. 4 home invasion. She was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $257,500 secured bond.
The investigation continues to identify and apprehend the other suspects involved.

The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a home invasion where three people forced their way into a Woodleaf home.
Authorities say the incident occurred Sept. 4 at a Foster Road home. The victim answered his door in the early morning, and two men and a woman forced their way into the residence, bound the victims and stole items.
The suspects are believed to have entered the BP convenience store at Jake Alexander Boulevard. The suspects were driving an older white four-door car.
Video images of the suspects investigators provided show a white man wearing a red shirt and a white woman in a camouflage shirt.
Anyone with information about this case or the identity of the suspects is asked to call Detective Billy Basinger 704-216-8682, Lt. Chad Moose 704-216-8687 or Rowan Crime Stoppers at 866-639-5245.
