Loyd Hill becomes a bridge life master

The Charlotte Regional was indeed a great place for our players.
Loyd Hill, playing in the Knock-outs, got the rest of his gold to reach his goal of life master.
Dick Brisbin and Wayne Pegram also got gold in the same Knock-Out competition. Judy Gealy and Carol Bachl earned some gold and Wade Lowder and Marvin Query earned red points. Congratulations to all.
Our Evergreen game was fraught with many strange and difficult deals with partnership mismatches. Most results were similar, partial scores and one-sided hands. Identifying a hand with results on both sides was nearly impossible.
The board pick was No. 2 from Evergreen’s Aug. 30 game. Joe O’Brien and Genny Mozolak had the best N/S score, bidding and making 2SS+1 while the best E/W result was 3CW+1 by BettyBonner Steele and Stella Shadroui. N/S vulnerable East dealer
