Hannah Rebecca Fisher

Hannah Rebecca Fisher graduated Magna Cum Laude May 11, 2013, from Catawba College with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and a minor in Psychology. Hannah earned the following honor cords: Alpha Chi, Phi Epsilon, Psi Chi, Kappa Delta Pi and a Junior Marshal Medal.
While at Catawba, Hannah was awarded the Jack D. and Juanita H. Walters endowed scholarship, the Rowan County Masonic scholarship, the China Grove Rotary scholarship and the General Electric Company STAR scholarship. Prior to graduation, Hannah was presented the Shirley L. Haworth Prospective Teacher Award by the Education Department faculty at Catawba College based on her GPA and observations during her student teaching.
Hannah was secretary for the senior class SGA and enjoyed four years as a cheerleader to Catawba Indian football and basketball teams.
She has been invited and accepted a position with the Peace Corps as an English language teacher in Colombia, South America. Her service will begin in August and is following a lifelong calling.
Hannah is the daughter of Mike Fisher of China Grove and Crystal Sifford of China Grove. Her grandparents are Pat Black of Kannapolis and the late Ray Fisher; and Steve and Lou Goodman of China Grove. She has a sister, Kolby Fisher, and a brother, Sawyer Sifford.
