Franklin Presbyterian Church has awarded a $2,000 Malissa Fielder Mowery Memorial Scholarship to Ashley Nicole Lowe.
Memorial scholarships are presented by the church to members pursuing higher education degrees and are made possible by friends and members of the church. Award consideration is given for leadership in the church and community. Ashley has participated in church activities including Worship Committee, delivering Meals on Wheels and assisting with child care and classes.
The daughter of Andy Lowe and granddaughter of Grace Lowe, she is seeking an RN degree at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College, where she is on the President’s and Dean’s lists with a 4.0 GPA. This summer she is employed at Carillon Nursing Center.
