SALISBURY — The city of Salisbury will present proposed guidelines for historic district design during a public forum next week.
The city is updating its guidelines as a first step to simplifying the historic district review process.
The forum will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in City Hall at 217 S. Main St. Historic districts affected include West Square, North Main Street, Ellis Street Graded School, Brooklyn-South Square and Downtown. Residents and property owners are encouraged to attend.
The city’s goal is to create a more user-friendly document that offers easy-to-access information about historic districts and appropriate treatment for historic structures.
