RALEIGH — A state Senate committee passed new legislation Thursday that would give Wake County commissioners authority to take control of school construction from the local school board.
According to The News & Observer of Raleigh, the Senate Rules Committee converted Senate Bill 236 into new legislation after the bill — which would have given nine counties, including Rowan, the option to take control
