LANDIS — Three people were taken to the hospital after being injured in a head-on collision on Fifth Street on Wednesday evening.
Four people were involved in the accident at 517 Fifth St. that was originally called in at 6:48 p.m. as a pin-in. All those involved were able to get free from the vehicles, but three were hurt seriously enough to be taken away by ambulance.

A separate accident a little earlier shut down Stokes Ferry Road at the intersection with Providence Church Road. An 18-wheeler was involved in that accident just before 6:30.
