Shaver – Stone

BALD HEAD ISLAND – Courtney Marie Shaver and Nicholas John Stone were married Saturday, April 20, 2013, in an early afternoon ceremony at Bald Head Club.
The bride is the daughter of Colonel Francis and Cynthia De Luca of Cary and Sammy and Mary Shaver of Chapel Hill. She is the granddaughter of Doris and the late Berry Shaver of Salisbury and Juanita and the late Pat Lesley of Cary.
The groom is the son of Brian and Sharon Stone of Essix, Conn., and the grandson of the late Ronald and Doloris and Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Crocker.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents and attended by Aubrey Schierbeck of Asheville and Sara Martin of Chicago, Ill., as maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Lesley Morrison of Alexandria, Va., cousin of the bride; Sharon Stone of Essix, Conn., sister of the groom; and stepsisters of the bride Bryn De Luca of Raleigh and Erin Harrington of Chapel Hill.
Best men were Ryan Stone, brother of the groom of Chapel Hill, and Breton Roussel of New Jersey. Groomsmen were Aaron Ribechinsky, Steven Reedich and Jesse Friendlich of Connecticut.
Flower girl was Katerine Johnson and ring bearer was Will Johnson of Wilmington.
The bride is a graduate of UNC-Wilmington with degrees in Criminal Justice and Psychology. She is co-owner of Kickstand Events, a wedding and event planning company in Wilmington. The groom is a graduate of UNCW with degrees in Accounting and Spanish. He is employed by Enterprise Rent-A-Car as a Senior Accountant.
Cynthia De Luca hosted a bridal luncheon for the bride and her attendants. The rehearsal dinner was hosted by the parents of the groom.
Following a honeymoon in St. Lucia, the couple are residing in Wilmington.
