In this photo from a fashion show held by the Rowan Museum in 1980, Starr Shive models a pink-beaded dress that belonged to Helen Cheney, once society editor for the Salisbury Post. Cheney wore the dress while she was a student at Bradley University in Peoria, Ill., in 1927. The Rowan Museum is celebrating its 60th birthday this year.
